U.S. “International” airport with no jetways—where am (was now) I?
Have to say I kind of liked it (though it wouldn't be fun in bad weather). Felt like I was on a tropical vacation in the 50s.

Bing Bing Bing--we have a winner, didn't think it would be too much of a challenge to the collective oppo mind. Nothing like stepping down onto the tarmac in the warm sun in the middle of winter.

I spend too much time looking at aerial photos of airports and I have actually looked at the one in Key West previously looking for a winter vacation there.

I’m so glad they have what looks like a chair lift! When I was at Cornell, Thompkins County airport only had stairs that airport employees had to carry me up my hand. It was mildly terrifying.
Funny how an airport that small is classified as “international”, but all they need is to have a customs office.

Cancun? I remember that being the case at the Q R air port.

best airport ever.

This looks a lot nicer than a jetway for all but the worst weather. Jetways always make me feel uneasy, like something bad is about to happen but they're trying to hide it from me..

I want to go to the keys! Ah....warm sun....

Key West International Airport?
Trying to think of airports that have American Eagle service, no jetbridges, and fair weather this time of year.

I hope we treated you well. Thanks for flying with us.

Delta, treated well, both flights were delayed a little bit by what were explained as some maintenance issues that were being addressed and there was a delay in getting the maintenance techs and flight crew getting the paperwork all signed or approved, but I made it back very nearly on time and safe and sound. No complaints whatsoever.

Been ages since I’ve used an airport with those qualifications. Last time was Treviso, Italy in 2004, though it looks like they are still jetway-less:
Europeans tend to be a bit less jetway obsessed than in the US, even for non-value airlines (Treviso still mainly services Ryanair flights for people too cheap to fly into Venice).

Sweeeeet!
It might have been sorta unfair because I work in aviation and lived in Florida for 18 years.

Here in Santa Barbara about half the time they’ll just unload like that. We do have a few jetways for big iron, but most of the traffic is in EMB and CR small jets.
